Joseph was a just man
Of Joseph, the earthly father of Jesus, its written that he was" a just
man". Whatever decision he made,he had the interests of others in
mind. This even when he did not quite understands the circumstances
surrounding the strange happening. Listen to what the Bible tells us
concerning his decision on Mary, his betrothed wife:
"Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly." (Matthew 1:19). I truly admire that. I pray and hope that in dealing with others, we may apply the "Golden rule" -that of doing unto others that which we want to be done unto us (Matthew 7:12)
