Forgiveness is a must do

When it comes to forgiveness, many of us are ready and eager to receive it than we are to extend it unto others. According to the sure word of God,forgiveness is a two way traffic. To be forgiven, we must learn to forgive others. Let's us check this out. Is there someone in your life who at one time or the other,

1.Said or wrote something about you that you are still keeping in your heart
2.Made you fired?
3.Stole from you?(money, wife, husband, child, animal or....)
4.Did you more harm than good?

Whatever the case, the Bible commands you to forgive if at all you expect to be forgiven. Here is what the Bible says?

" If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses. If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector." (Matthew 18:15-17)

"Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?” Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times(Matthew 18:21-22)

The Jews had reduced forgiveness to 3 times; Peter extended it to 7 times but Jesus taught that it must be 70X7. That is to say, as many times as we would like to be forgiven. Read the rest of Matthew 18 and the Lord's prayer as found in Matthew chapter 6

So, if you have anything against your avowed enemy, you have no choice but to forgive him or her otherwise you too will not be forgiven. I know that its tough but then you have no any other way around it. Some things we must learn to do them however long it takes. It takes humility, change of heart and attitude.
