Some stories just remind you of a similar past experience. When I was a student at Andrews University, Berrien Springs, Michigan (for 10) I worked in three departments (Cafeteria,Dairy, and Custodial) Every year in May, they sent us a note announcing the good news of receiving a raise. Do you know how much it was? How much? Just 10 cents. So, I knew what my raise was every year and therefore there was no second guess.

Today, a friend called to announce the good news or getting a raise.  Interestingly it was 10 cents. Now tell me, why will any one give someone a raise of 10 cents? Ever received such a small raise? To me, anything 50 cents and above makes sense or what do you think?
